Here is the list of conditions that you can ask us about online. You can also self-refer to other services for help where stated.

  • Cough, cold, flu or nasal congestion – or self-refer to the Pharmacy
  • Sore throat
  • Headache – or self-refer to the Pharmacy
  • Wounds – please upload a photo with your Engage Consult unless it is in an intimate area
  • Anxiety, stress or low mood – or self-refer to Health in Mind (under 18’s should book to see their GP)
  • Ankle, foot, knee or lower leg pain – or self-refer to the Pharmacy for pain relief; if over 1 week, the e-hub can refer you to the Physio
  • Muscle/joint pain, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, ankle sprain, wrist/hand/finger pain or swelling – e-hub can refer you to the Physio
  • Back, neck or spinal pain – e-hub can refer you to the Physio
  • Toe pain or swelling – please upload a photo with your Engage Consult
  • Hay fever – or self-refer to the Pharmacy
  • Acne, spots & pimples – or self-refer to the Pharmacy
  • New itchy rash, restricted to small areas of the body – please upload a photo with your Engage Consult unless it is in an intimate area
  • Dry, itchy or flaky skin – or self-refer to the Pharmacy
  • Bites, stings, insect or spider – or self-refer to the Pharmacy
  • Athletes foot – or self-refer to the Pharmacy
  • Warts and verrucas – or self-refer to the Pharmacy
  • Blisters – or self-refer to the Pharmacy
  • Small or minor burns – or self-refer to the Pharmacy – please upload a photo with your Engage Consult unless it is in an intimate area. Large scale burns covering a significant area of the body should go straight to A&E
  • Constipation – or self-refer to the Pharmacy
  • Diarrhoea – or self-refer to the Pharmacy if less than 48 hours. If you are very elderly, under 5 years or have other underlying health conditions, please book to see or speak to a GP.
  • Vomiting – if you are under 2 years or you have a headache, visual concerns, are vomiting blood, have severe abdominal pain, are diabetic on insulin or have worsening vomiting after 48 hours, call for an urgent appointment with a GP
  • Dental infections – or self-refer to own dentist or emergency dentist
  • Eyes – or self-refer to the Pharmacy for conjunctivitis or to the Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS) for visual changes, irritation, gritty, blurred or eyelid problems. If acute visual loss, go to A&E. If accompanied with a headache or vomiting, book to see your GP.
  • Hearing problems or blocked ear – or self-care or self-refer to the Pharmacy
  • Earache or ear discharge – or self-refer to the Pharmacy
  • Mouth ulcers – or self-refer to the Pharmacy
  • Pregnancy – or self-refer to the Community Midwives
  • Sleep difficulties – or self-refer to the Pharmacy
  • Tiredness – or self-refer to the Pharmacy
  • Hair loss – or self-refer to the Pharmacy
  • Support for patients struggling at home – or self-refer to Health & Social Care Connect
  • Carers’ support – or self-refer to Care for the Carers or Health & Social Care Connect
  • Stopping smoking – or self refer to One You
  • Alcohol – support to stop – or self-refer to Alcohol Support 
  • Anger issues (adults) – or self-refer to Health in Mind
  • Vaginal itch or soreness
  • Vaginal discharge – or self-refer to Sexual Health Clinic if you think you might have a Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI)
