Our general diabetic clinic is run by our nurses with specialist training in diabetes. This involves an initial blood test taken by our HCA, with a follow-up appointment with one of our nurses two weeks later. At this appointment, the nurse will look at your blood test results and discuss appropriate treatment with you. If you require insulin, you will be invited to an Insulin Initiation Clinic with a GP and nurse.
Diabetic patients are also invited for diabetic eye screening at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. Find out more information about eye screening and the appointment on their website.
