Online Consultation Service – Engage Consult
You can now contact the surgery online to tell us all about your medical problem or ask an admin question. Completing an Engage Consult questionnaire allows us to quickly and safely decide on the best way to help you or an adult in your care. Watch this short film to see how it works.
If you send us a request during our opening hours, you will hear back from us within 48 hours.
If you send us a request when we are closed, you will hear back from us within 48 hours of when we re-open.
This service is not available for children under the age of 16.
Engage should not be used for any symptom or concern that the patient views as an emergency, including a worsening infection.
Click on Engage Consult and view our patient guides on: How to sign up for Online Consultations with your GP Practice and How to Send a Message to your GP Practice.
The GP may ask you to send a photograph to help them assess your medical condition. You can also upload photographs in Engage Online Consultations. Please do not send any intimate images or photos of children which could potentially be considered as indecent. Please note any digital image submitted as part of an online consultation, will be stored within your clinical notes.
We are now able to do video consultations if the GP feels this would be helpful in assessing your medical condition. This is done using AccuRx. The GP will send you a link to your mobile phone. View the NHS guide to online consultations or watch a You Tube clip of AccuRx video in action.
