Sussex Mental Healthline

Provide 24 hour telephone support and information to anyone experiencing mental health problems including stress, anxiety and depression. The service is also available to carers. Visit Sussex Mental Healthline or telephone 0800 030 9500.

Staying Well Space – Out of Hours

The Staying Well Space provide out of hours mental health support for adults aged 16 and over – visit Staying Well Space.

SHOUT Text Support

SHOUT is a free, confidential, anonymous text support service for anyone that is struggling to cope and needs to talk. Text ‘SHOUT’ to 85258 and a trained volunteers will reply to you. Visit giveusashout.org for more information.

Urgent help in a crisis

Sussex Partnership NHS Trust provide support for anyone in a crisis. Visit https://www.sussexpartnership.nhs.uk/urgent-help-crisis

Urgent Care Lounge, Eastbourne

Based in Eastbourne District Hospital, the Urgent Care Lounge provides support for adults who are experiencing a mental health crisis. The Urgent Care Lounge is not a walk-in service, referral is by GP or mental health worker only. Call Sussex Mental Healthline on 0300 5000 101 or visit their website Sussex Mental Healthline.

The Haven, Hove

The Haven at Mill View is a dedicated, mental health crisis assessment facility located on the Mill View Hospital site in Nevill Avenue, Hove. It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and provides support and assessment for adults over the age of 18 in East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton and Hove, who are experiencing a mental health crisis.
