New pharmacy at Robertsbridge

We are getting a number of enquiries about our dispensary services as a result of the changes at the pharmacy in Robertsbridge. Here is some useful information so you know what is available:

Dispensary

We have an on-site dispensary at Oldwood Surgery and can dispense medication to patients that live over 1 mile from a pharmacy. This map shows the eligible locations. Prescriptions issued on the day of a consultation will normally be ready to take home within a few minutes of you being seen by the doctor. You can also request your repeat medication to be collected from Oldwood Surgery or Battle Health Centre. This should be ready to collect 4 working days after requested. We are unable to send text notifications to collect your prescription as this functionality is not currently available on our patient system.

Medication collection

Medication, once ready, can be collected from Oldwood Surgery or Battle Health Centre at our usual opening times which are available on our home page: Oldwood Surgery & Battle Health Centre.

Dispensary queries

For queries regarding your medication, our dispensary team at Oldwood Surgery are available Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm.

Register to use our Dispensary

If you wish to use our Dispensary, please contact us in one of the ways listed below. We will check you live more than 1 mile from a pharmacy and if yes, register you as a dispensing patient.

  • Send us an email to [email protected]
  • Call us on 01580 880790 and select the option for our dispensary
  • Bring your repeat ordering slip, ticking the medications you require and adding a note to say you would like to use our dispensary
  • Please specify whether you would like to collect your medication from Oldwood Surgery or Battle Health Centre.

Once you are registered, you can order your repeat prescriptions in the usual way:

Non-dispensing patients: temporary change of pharmacy

If you live within 1 mile of a pharmacy, you are not eligible for us to dispense your medication. We can, however, send your prescription directly to your preferred pharmacy for you to collect from there. If you usually collect your medication from the pharmacy in Robertsbridge and it is temporarily closed or they advise they do not currently have a pharmacist, please write the name of an alternative pharmacy on your repeat slip and we will ensure your prescription is sent there. If you order your prescription online, please email us on [email protected] advising which pharmacy you want to use temporarily.

If your pharmacy request your repeat medications on your behalf and are no longer able to do this for you, the alternative ways for you to request your repeat prescription are:

  • Use your NHS account (on the NHS website or in the NHS app).
  • Use the repeat ordering slip on your previous prescription. Bring it to the surgery or post it to us.
  • Send us an email to [email protected]
  • Request your prescription online – this is the best option for us as your request goes straight to the GP for approval, saving our receptionists time requesting your medication.
